2024 IMPACT REPORT: IMPACT ACROSS THE MAP
Meeting the Need for Affordable Housing
IMPACT Community Capital is proud to release the 2024 edition of its annual impact report, “Impact Across the Map: Meeting the Need for Affordable Housing.” In 2023, IMPACT invested more than $210M in American communities – an increase of more than one-third compared to 2022. That large-scale capital investment generated real-world impact for the 7,488 additional residents IMPACT helped house in 2023, offering these residents and their families monthly rent savings while delivering value to investors.
In the report, IMPACT highlights the firm’s continued work to meet the broad need for affordable housing across communities nationally — from bustling urban centers to less densely populated rural areas. In 2016, the Federal Housing Finance Agency issued the “Duty to Serve Underserved Markets” rule for federal housing finance agencies it oversees. The rule identifies several distinct types of American communities in need of affordable housing support: areas of concentrated poverty, rural areas, high opportunity areas and indigenous tribal areas. IMPACT’s investments are located in all such categories – often surpassing the overall national proportion of LIHTC Debt properties located in these areas.
