
KEITH C. HONIG

Mr. Honig is Senior Managing Director and Head of Commercial Mortgage Lending for Pacific Life Investments, overseeing commercial mortgage loan investments for Pacific Life Insurance Company. Prior to joining Pacific Life in 2018, Mr. Honig held various positions with AIG Investments and its predecessor, SunAmerica Inc. Mr. Honig was Managing Director and the Head of Commercial Mortgage Lending for AIG Investments and President of AIG Mortgage Capital, LLC. Previously, Mr. Honig was the Head of Loan Administration for AIG Investments and SunAmerica Inc. which included responsibility for loan servicing, asset management and portfolio management. Mr. Honig was previously Senior Vice President and General Counsel for AIG Mortgage Capital, LLC and also held various positions within the legal department of SunAmerica Inc. As a member of the legal department, Mr. Honig provided support for the investment group, worked on mergers and acquisitions, managed litigation and handled a variety of insurance regulatory matters. Mr. Honig is a Certified Public Accountant and an attorney. Mr. Honig previously practiced accounting as a manager with the accounting firm of KPMG, performing audit and tax services. Mr. Honig practiced as an attorney with the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, focusing on real estate lending, foreclosures and bankruptcy. Mr. Honig served as a law clerk to a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Nebraska. Mr. Honig previously served on the Board of Directors of Impact Community Capital and BNC Mortgage, Inc. Mr. Honig is a frequent speaker and panelist for the Mortgage Bankers Association and CREFC. Mr. Honig is a past chair of the CREFC Portfolio Lenders Forum and served on the CREFC Policy and Membership Committees.
Mr. Honig earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Southern California, a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Southern California, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
