Maïté Irakoze Baur is the Chief Investment Officer of the Farmers Group, Inc. Maïté joined Farmers as Head of Insurance Investments in February 2016. In this role she is responsible for implementing the investment strategy across multiple insurance balance sheets with focus on achieving superior returns through efficient execution, management of risks and optimal construction of Farmers’ investment portfolios. She’s also responsible for managing a fully outsourced multi-asset manager platform. Prior to joining Farmers, Maïté held various positions in the Zurich Insurance Group since joining in 2005. Maïté holds a Master of Arts in Information Management from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland and is also a CFA Charterholder. She is fluent in English, French, Kirundi and Kinyarwanda. Maite has served on the board for IMPACT Community Capital since 2019.
