Paul Hwang is a Port­fo­lio Man­ag­er at IMPACT Com­mu­ni­ty Cap­i­tal, focus­ing on invest­ments with pos­i­tive impact for IMPACT’s invest­ment pro­grams and growth strat­e­gy. Paul has respon­si­bil­i­ty for invest­ment research and finan­cial mod­el­ing and brings exper­tise in finan­cial mar­kets, spe­cial­iz­ing in fixed income secu­ri­ties. After join­ing IMPACT in 2018 as an Invest­ment Ana­lyst, Paul was pro­mot­ed to port­fo­lio man­ag­er on the Invest­ments Team and helps man­age IMPACT’s assets under management.

Paul has 13 years of expe­ri­ence in the finan­cial sec­tor, with 8 years in fixed income port­fo­lio man­age­ment. Pri­or to join­ing IMPACT, Paul start­ed his career as an ana­lyst at The Van­guard Group, Zurich Finan­cial Ser­vices, and most recent­ly, Alliance­Bern­stein, where he served as Assis­tant Vice Pres­i­dent and Asso­ciate Port­fo­lio Man­ag­er, man­ag­ing munic­i­pal bond port­fo­lios and pur­chas­ing secu­ri­ties on AB’s tax-exempt trad­ing desk. Paul’s focus on impact invest­ing began with his efforts in the launch of AB’s Munic­i­pal Impact strat­e­gy, a munic­i­pal bond strat­e­gy pro­vid­ing pos­i­tive social and envi­ron­men­tal impact.

Paul received his Bachelor’s degree in Eco­nom­ics from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Mary­land, Col­lege Park.
