Paul Hwang is a Portfolio Manager at IMPACT Community Capital, focusing on investments with positive impact for IMPACT’s investment programs and growth strategy. Paul has responsibility for investment research and financial modeling and brings expertise in financial markets, specializing in fixed income securities. After joining IMPACT in 2018 as an Investment Analyst, Paul was promoted to portfolio manager on the Investments Team and helps manage IMPACT’s assets under management.
Paul has 13 years of experience in the financial sector, with 8 years in fixed income portfolio management. Prior to joining IMPACT, Paul started his career as an analyst at The Vanguard Group, Zurich Financial Services, and most recently, AllianceBernstein, where he served as Assistant Vice President and Associate Portfolio Manager, managing municipal bond portfolios and purchasing securities on AB’s tax-exempt trading desk. Paul’s focus on impact investing began with his efforts in the launch of AB’s Municipal Impact strategy, a municipal bond strategy providing positive social and environmental impact.
Paul received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
