In 2019, IMPACT Community Capital LLC innovated with Freddie Mac on its first privately placed participation certificate swap. This swap consisted of $141M of mortgage loans exchanged for Freddie Mac guaranteed participation certificates, opening a new avenue for financing affordable housing in scale.
