Alex Khar­mats, CPA joined IMPACT Com­mu­ni­ty Cap­i­tal as Finan­cial Con­troller in 2022 and is respon­si­ble for the day-to-day account­ing func­tion for IMPACT. Alex over­sees the pro­duc­tion and prepa­ra­tion of the quar­ter­ly reviewed finan­cial state­ments and the annu­al finan­cial audit state­ments. She is also respon­si­ble for imple­ment­ing and mon­i­tor­ing over­all account­ing and inter­nal con­trol guide­lines and serves as the liai­son with audi­tors and tax accountants. 

Pri­or to join­ing IMPACT, for over a decade, Alex was a con­troller in the not-for-prof­it sec­tor, spe­cial­iz­ing in Inde­pen­dent Schools. She also has pri­or expe­ri­ence in pub­lic account­ing, work­ing with a wide range of clients in audit and tax preparation. 

When she’s not work­ing, Alex enjoys din­ner par­ties, explor­ing the hik­ing trails of North­ern Cal­i­for­nia, thrift shop­ping and watch­ing reruns of Colum­bo and The Twi­light Zone.
